About Us

The Young Voices of Indianapolis is a non-profit community choral organization involving children and young adults in grades 2-12 from the greater Indianapolis area. The YVI Choirs include Concert Choir, open to grades 5-10 by audition only, Encore Singers, our women’s choir open to grades 9-12 by audition only, and the Preparatory Choir, our training choir open to grades 2-5. 

 The Young Voices of Indianapolis...

• Seeks to provide a superior choral music education with an emphasis on Community outreach and mission.

• Is dedicated to offering the youth of Central Indiana an excellent musical education, while keeping the number of rehearsal hours each week to a minimum.

• Provides opportunities for singers to perform in a variety of settings.

• Is dedicated to serving as a model for excellent children’s choral literature and vocal training.

• Offers many performing and community service opportunities throughout Indiana and tours throughout the United States and beyond once a year.

• Seeks to instill a love and appreciation of music in choir members.
